Entry Requirements for Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering:

Students from Senior High School System:
The minimum requirements for admission into the programme are passes in three (3) core subjects at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) OR the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science, AND passes in three (3) elective subjects at SSSCE/WASSCE level, namely, Elective Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The aggregate score of the six subjects should not exceed 24.

Students from GCE System:
Applicants must have credits in at least five (5) GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science Subject, AND passes at GCE A-Level in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, plus a pass in General Paper.

Mature Applicants:
Must be at least 28 years old and must have credits in five(5) GCE O' Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject, with at least 3 years relevant working experience. Candidates will be required to pass a qualifying examination conducted by the Department, and an interview. HND holders (Civil Engineering or Building Technology option) who graduated within the range of First Class to Second Class (Lower Division) may also be considered for admission to an appropriate level.
In all cases, candidates will be required to have credit level passes in Mathematics, Science and English Language, which are the basic Departmental requirements.

Entry Requirements for Bachelor of Science in Nursing:
.           Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Applicants (SSSCE); must have passes in 3 core subjects with grade D(C6) or better including English, Integrated science, Mathematics and 3 elective subjects. Elective subjects such as Chemistry. Physics, Biology and/or Mathematics will be an advantage.

Note:
i. SSSCE/WASSCE or its equivalent holder will enter at level 100.
ii. SRN holders will enter at 200, Holders of Diploma in nursing awarded by a recognized University or its equivalent will enter at level 300.

 Entry Requirement for Bachelor of Architecture:
.           Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Applicants: (SSSCE/WASSCE): 6 passes with aggregate 24 or better including English Language, Integrated science, Mathematics and any other three (3) elective subject.
.           Ordinary Level Certificate Holders-Passes in 5 subjects including English Language, Mathematics and General Science or any science subject plus a pass in any two (2) subjects at the Advance Level.
.           HND Graduates - must have passes in English Language, Mathematics and Science at O' Levels or WASSCE as well as three (3) passes in subjects of their chosen professions.

Entry Requirement for Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistantship:
.           Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Applicants: (SSSCE/WASSCE) must pass with credit in 3 core subjects that is English, Integrated Science, Mathematics and credits passes in three (3) elective subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and/or Mathematics. Interviews will form an integral part of the selection process.
.           State Registered Nurses and Medical Assistants can also take this degree. Nurses will receive certain course exemptions and complete the degree in three (3) years. Medical Assistants can complete the course in two (2) years. Bachelor Degree holders in the natural sciences particularly the biological sciences including graduate of Human Biology will also be considered for the programme. They will receive exemptions from some courses.

 Entry Requirement for Bachelor of Pharmacy:
i.          Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Applicants: (SSSCE/WASSCE) 6 passes in three (3) core subjects including English, Integrated Science, Mathematics and three (3) passes in elective subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics with aggregate 24 or better or the WASSCE equivalent.
ii.          Ordinary Level Certificate Holders - credits in 5 subjects including English Language, Mathematics and three (3) passes at the Advance level in Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics .
iii.         Holders of Science Degrees:
            Biology
            Chemistry
            Biochemistry
            Human Biology, etc.
iv.         Holders of HND (Dispensary Technology)
v.         Holders of Dispensing Technicians (DT) Certificate
vi.         Mature applicants: must be 25years old and above with SCIENCE background in Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or elective Mathematics

Note: applicants in category v and vi must pass an entrance
examination conducted by the university.

NB: Forms can be purchased with a bankers draft at GHC 70 and ($80 for Foreign Students) from our Mataheko and Miotso Campuses or Downloaded from here and paid for on submission at our Permanent Campus, Miotso near Prampram
