PRESIDENT’S CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR MESSAGE

Christmas is the time of year when people meet and wish each other well. It is a time people give gifts and exchange greeting cards. It is also a time when people must sit and take stock of their lives. Stocktaking is a very important principle that promotes growth.

It gives us the opportunity to examine our lives. Regular examination of ones life leads to maturity.

How was your relationship with your boss this year?

Were you at loggerhead with your boss?

What about with your coworkers?

Did you talk and insult them behind their backs?

How was your attitude to work in the year?

Did you work very hard?

Were you late to work almost all the time?

Did you meet your deadlines?

Were there things you should have done but did not do?

What about your spiritual life?

Were you regular with your quite time?

What about prayers?

Bible study?

Did you cheat in the examinations?

What about homework?

Were you regular and punctual at Lectures?

What about morning devotion?

Was chapel service important to you?

If your answer to any of these questions is not favourable, then there is a problem. You should however not give up. Try to identify the causes. Look carefully and try to remove the causes. If you need to change your position or relocate, then you should do so and do it quickly.

Always remind yourself never to repeat those mistakes.

There is hope for every one. This hope came with the birth of Christ Jesus.

What are you planning to do this Christmas?

Go to the beach? Eat good food? Visit friends? Go to church?

What ever it is that you are planning to do, think of the birth of Christ Jesus.

Have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
