EXAMINATIONS POLICIES

Examinations (including both midterms and finals) are governed by the University policies on examinations which are published periodically. You should be aware that examinations may be given on Fridays, Saturdays and evenings, and you should check the examination calendar carefully.

You should never approach your instructors with requests to reschedule exams or to make special accommodations. If you have documentable special circumstances such as time conflicts between multiple exams, illness, or grave personal difficulties such as a death in the family, you should petition the MBA Program Office, which will work with the faculty in appropriate cases to find a resolution. The MBA Program office will require documentation of your conflict as a matter of course. A time conflict due to a job interview, a career pursuit or travel is never an appropriate reason to request accommodation on an academic commitment.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

A student wishing to interrupt the normal 18-month course of study in the MBA Program must request a leave of absence by writing a letter to the Director of the MBA Program stating the reason for the request and the length of the expected absence. Depending on the circumstances, a leave of absence may be granted for up to one year.

TRANSFERS

A student who completes part of the coursework in another University may be offered admission on the basis of credits transferred to this university if:

i. The contents of such course(s) are deemed comparable and satisfy the course requirements of the programme he/she wishes to persue.

ii. The same course(s) have not been used as part of another degree elsewhere

iii. The student may as a programme/ faculty requirement, be asked to take (an) additional course(s).

TRANSCRIPTS

You may obtain copies of your transcripts by completing a Transcript Request Form which is available at the MBA Office or by submitting a request in writing to:

MBA Coordinator Central University College P.O. Box DS 2310 Dansoman.

All students receive results slips at the end of each semester free of charge, by logging onto the university’s computerised Student Information Management system. Transcript requests cannot be handled over the phone, and cannot be processed without the student’s written permission. The University will not release transcripts and/or grades if you have not fulfilled all financial obligations to the University.
