Entry Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Economics
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Applicants: (SSSCE/WASSE) passes in three (3) core subjects in Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science (with at least grade C or better), plus passes in three (3) Elective subjects with aggregate 24 or better for SSSCE or WASSCE equivalent.

Mature Candidates: Must have attained the age of 25 years at the time of submitting the application, with at least three (3) years of working experience.

Bachelor of Arts in French
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Applicants: (SSSCE/WASSE) passes in three (3) core subjects that is Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science (at least grade C or better), plus passes in three (3) Elective subjects with aggregate 24 or better for SSSCE or WASSCE equivalent. In addition departmental requirement of a credit pass in French at the SSSCE/WASSCE/O Level will apply to all prospective students with GCE Advanced Level with a grade not lower than C or graduate from French Teacher Training College and Alliance Francaise with qualification not lower than DELF and Baccalaureate or its equivalent may also apply.

Bachelor of Arts in English
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Applicants: (SSSCE/WASSE) passes in three (3) core subjects Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science (at least grade C or better), plus passes in three (3) Elective subjects with aggregate 24 or better for SSSCE or WASSCE equivalent. In addition, however, departmental requirements of a credit pass in Literature- in- English at the SSSCE/WASSE or G.C.E. ‘O’ Levels will also apply to all prospective students.

Mature Candidates: Must have attained the age of 25 years at the time of submitting the application, with at least three (3) years working experience.

Bachelor of Arts in Environment & Development Studies
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Applicants: (SSSCE/WASSE) passes in three (3) core subjects Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science (at least grade C or better), plus passes in three (3) elective subjects with aggregate 24 or better for SSSCE or WASSCE equivalent.  Admission into the course is open to students with any background: Social Studies, Integrated Science and General Arts. 

Mature Candidates, must have attained the age of 25 years at the time of submitting the application, with at least three (3) years working experience. Those with relevant background or experience in related subject areas are particularly welcome to enter at the appropriate level.

Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies
Typical entry qualification include, but are not limited to:

  • Senior Secondary School Certificate: passes in core English, core Mathematics, core Science and three elective subjects, with an aggregate score of 24 or better in the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or with an aggregate score of 36 or better in the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).
  • Professional qualifications: Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) with at least 3 Credits and 2 passes awarded by the Technical Examination Unit of GES. Other applicants with professional qualifications can also apply.
  • Mature Student’s Entry Requirement (MSER): Applicants without formal academic qualifications may be considered for admission if they are above 25 years old and have demonstrable relevant professional experience. All applicants must pass an entrance examination.
